Renting from people you have never met might feel risky. Here is how Weshare keeps you safe.
1. Check Their Trust Badge
Every user on Weshare earns badges based on their rental history. New users have zero history, Verified users have completed at least one rental with a 3.5+ rating, and Trusted users have 5+ successful rentals. Always check before booking.
2. Phone Verification is Mandatory
Every user must verify their phone number before renting. In Thailand, SIM cards are registered with a national ID — meaning every phone number is traceable to a real person. This is your strongest safety net.
3. Take Photos at Pickup and Return
Weshare has a built-in photo upload feature. Take photos of the item when you pick it up and when you return it. These timestamped photos serve as evidence if there is ever a dispute.
4. Always Meet in Person
We recommend meeting the owner face-to-face for pickup. Inspect the item together, test it if possible, and agree on the return process. If an owner offers delivery, record an unboxing video for your protection.
5. Never Pay Through Unofficial Channels
Pay the owner directly via cash, PromptPay, or bank transfer. If anyone claims you need to pay Weshare first — it is a scam. Weshare never collects rental payments.
6. Use Priority Booking for Important Dates
If you absolutely need the item on specific dates, use Priority Booking. Your dates are guaranteed for 24 hours, and you are only charged if the owner approves.
